Reason Prevails: Purple Line Back on Track

The Action Committee for Transit is thrilled to see reason prevail and $800 million saved by the appeals' court ruling that puts the Purple Line back on track. The court recognized how unjust it would be to allow this badly needed transit line to be killed by judicial stalling.

We congratulate Attorney General Frosh on his successful advocacy and will support Governor Hogan in his efforts to ensure the rapid signing of the federal funding agreement. Signing of that agreement was only 4 days away when the now-stayed order was issued.

We look forward to the start of construction soon.
